Friday, October 03, 2003 ::: what a busy day morning, LLSK lesson + assembly then lunch, celebrated Ca's bday suet bought a tiramisu cake... mouth watering! and tasted quite good too. then rushed downhill for PE lesson. worked out at U Gym then General Ed at Sir Run Run Shaw helped med2 Health Ex OCs to load the truck with stuff needed tomorrow ...then it's time to go home. it's already been a month. yet, i can't remember all the names in my class. this alone isn't a problem, cuz obviously it's impossible to remember 140+ names in 1 month... and frankly i consider myself a person who can remember names quite well however, the difficult part is to remember the identity of people. usually when you meet new people, you first ask them your name and introduce yourself (of course!) and then, the conversation usually leads to factual stuff, such as: - whether they're Jupas/Non Jupas - whether they're EAS/Non EAS - which college they belong to (NA/CC/SC/UC) - and then immediately following, which hostel are they staying in (at this moment usually i would have to explain why i don't have a hostel) - which small O group they belong to (relatively minor category though) - are they taking part in MSF - are they demtor/checker for Health Ex as u know more people, you start to mix things up. and it's pretty embarassing if you forget which college does he/she belong to esp if he/she is in the same college as yours. today i was stopping by Fest Walk met Maggie had a chat to break the ice, i asked her the typical question: "you are demtor for Health Ex, right?" "apparently i'm in the same group as yours" -_____-" yes, she's in the same group as mine. and the group consists of less than 10 people. accidents do happen if you don't think carefully about people's identity before you ask such 'typical' question a supposedly 'safe' question and at that instance the word 'retarded' isn't even good enough to describe how i feel about myself. Dido and Lene Marlin both released their much anticipated follow-ups to their debut albums. yet both albums are disappointing. when i first saw Lene's album, resting on the bottom of HK record's CD rack i knew something's wrong. no promotion. no news on dotmusic regarding the release. not even a word about this album. lene's first single off this album landed at #53 in UK chart. no first single can do that bad, even without promotion Dido's album sounds boring, hollow and empty. yes, dotmusic's right, even Eminem can't help her. today, heard quite a lot of things quite shocked really don't know if they're good or bad though perhaps it's a good sign. hope it's a good sign.
